Terms and Conditions
1. All pieces, items or work left in our care are looked after to the very best of our ability. It is the customer’s responsibility to declare any damage, marks or noticeable ware to us upon arrival. We cannot be held responsible for any damage that is declared upon collection unless a full condition report has been explained and discussed upon leaving goods with us. In the rare instance items or work incur damage whilst in our care we will immediately notify you and do everything within our power to make amends.
2. Once work had been completed and has left our workshop we are unable to accept any responsibility for damage or ware to frames/glazing or work, particularly when in transit from our workshop. You will have the opportunity to see and inspect works collected and we will then wrap and package works where needed/requested to avoid such damage in transit but as stated we do not accept liability once left the doors of our premises. If work has been delivered to you, you will also be given the opportunity to inspect work and once our driver has left with your approval, we are unable to accept liability for any damage not mentioned prior, at the time of delivery.
3. We take no responsibility for incorrect hanging. All of our frames are fitted safely with compliant hanging fixings. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure safe and proper hanging. We also cannot accept liability for repaired or restrung frames that we have not made ourselves.
4. Personal details including names, contact numbers, addresses and email addresses are written and stored on our job tickets and invoicing system. We will never pass this information on and will use it simply to refer to, to contact you or deliver to you. We may on occasion send seasonal correspondence to you, please let us know if you wish to opt out of this rare communication.
5. We want all of our customers to be fully happy with the finished item(s) they receive but we cannot accept responsibility for any ‘incorrect’ choices made based on preference. We do our best to offer advice when you visit us but as the customer, ultimate responsibility is yours for any final choices made. If you are unhappy with the finished product for any reason please let us know as soon as possible and we will of course do our best to amend this but it is at our discretion not to recharge under these circumstances, and it is expected that you will be reinvoiced for any further work.
6. Once items have been entrusted to us, supplies are ordered very quickly. Therefore, any changes made to choices or sizings may incur additional charges and will be added to your final invoice.
7. You will be given a yellow job ticket when leaving items/work with us, it is your responsibility to check and query any incorrect information on here. This acts as your invoice and job ticket. A payment receipt can be issued upon payment and an electronic invoice can be emailed at your request but please retain your yellow copy for primary reference and collection.
8. Payment can be made either on arrival or at the point of collection or delivery. All goods remain the property of HMC Framing until full payment has been made.
9. All works sold in our shop or online studio are sold as seen and it is the purchasers responsibility to thoroughly view works bought at that time, as returns or refunds are at our sole discretion. Artwork payments are to be made directly to the individual/specific artist and full guidance and details on how to do so will be provided by our team at the point of sale.
